Virtuoso Frost faculty members join forces to perform music by women composers from around the world, in an evening of bold modern works, masterful classics, and inspired premieres. Yemaya is an Orisha deity celebrated in the hemispheres (most notably, Cuba). She is the goddess of motherhood, the oceans, and the healing arts. let's explore together the diverse voices and cultures through Classical music, while giving a nod to the vibrant Cuban culture here in Miami.
Associate Professor Dorothy Hindman guides us through the world of women composers in a 30-minute pre-concert discussion with the artists.
