Welcome to Frost Music Live’s 10^th Anniversary season!  Since our founding 100 years ago, the Philip and Patricia Frost School of Music has become a global center for artistic excellence, creativity, and musical discovery. Generations of students, faculty, alumni, and guest artists have shaped not only the sound of this institution, but the sound of Miami itself.

 Over the past 10 seasons, this belief has come alive through nearly 2,500 performances featuring over 400 guest artists, thousands of Frost student musicians, and close to half a million audience members at Frost Music Live. Thank you for being part of this success!

Our ’26/’27 season continues to honor our extraordinary legacy while looking firmly toward the future. Highlights include jazz legends Branford Marsalis and Take Six sharing the stage with The Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra. Songstresses Nicole Henry, Laila Biali, and Dayme Arocena perform with award-winning Frost jazz ensembles. The popular Emmet’s Place Live returns for another thrilling concert.

 The Frost Symphony Orchestra welcomes internationally acclaimed violinist Tessa Lark for the premiere of a Theofanidis commission, and perform Mahler’s Symphony No.3 and Tchaikovsky’s Pathétique as part of a thrilling classical season. The much-anticipated new opera by Jake Heggie, The Judgment of Paris, is performed by Frost Opera Theater. And, our annual Family Concert features an interactive take on the classic Carnival of Animals for concertgoers of all ages. 

 New this season are collaborations with famed Frost School alums Gabe Dixon and Danny Flores of CoastCity with our top contemporary music ensembles, plus the unveiling of Jazz at Hormel, an intimate jazz venue featuring bandleader Etienne Charles with vocalist Alicia Olutuja and other special guests.

 We kick off the season with America @250, a slate of concerts commemorating our nation’s Semiquincentennial headlined by The United States Marine Band, along with patriotic concerts by the Frost Wind Ensemble and renown pianist Mackenzie Melemed.

 From symphonic masterworks and jazz legends to groundbreaking collaborations, every Frost Music Live performance celebrates music as a living force that brings people together. The Robert and Judi Prokop Newman Recital Hall is located within the recently-built Knight Center for Music Innovation at 5513 San Amaro Drive in Coral Gables. The elegant, 200-seat state-of-the-art musical venue with advanced world-class acoustics is enhanced by a spectacular floor-to-ceiling window overlooking Lake Osceola.

The Thomas D. Hormel Music Innovation Stage, also located within the Knight Center for Music Innovation, was designed to incubate experimentation with augmented reality, artificial intelligence, volumetric capture, and other advanced performance technology. The high-tech, hybrid black box is a fully flexible space which can be configured for an extensive array of performances.

Located on the Coral Gables campus at 1314 Miller Drive, the Maurice Gusman Concert Hall houses a 575 seat concert hall and a professional recording studio, which are located on the main floor. The concert hall is used for large performances, Signature Series events, as well as smaller ensembles. Each year, over 350 concerts and events are presented in this hall.

Located on Lake Osceola in the center of the Frost School at 5479 San Amaro Drive the Victor E. Clarke Recital Hall in the L. Austin Weeks Center for Recording and Performance holds 147 seats. The Clarke Recital Hall is specifically designed to provide an intimate performance setting. Its acoustics are variable so that a wide range of music can be performed with optimal listening and recording conditions. Each year, many recitals and concerts are presented in this hall.

The KNIGHT CENTER OUTDOOR PLAZA is a welcoming, graceful lawn and patio space designed for viewing high-definition audio and video “Windowcast” performances projected on the Knight Center’s soaring 20x40-foot exterior wall.

Typically, recitals and concerts last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the artist and type of concert. Master classes and lectures may last anywhere between 1 to 3 hours.

All of the concert halls at Frost School of Music are fully compliant with ADA rules and regulations. We have designated seating areas in the halls that will accommodate your needs and allow you to enjoy our presentations completely.

In the Maurice Gusman Concert Hall, you’ll find accessible seats in the first 10 seats of the first row. The elevator at the Maurice Gusman Concert Hall is located at the right-hand side of the lobby when entering.

In the Victor E. Clarke Recital Hall, accessible seats are located in both ends of Row F, which is the sixth row.

To reserve seats in these areas, please contact our Box Office at 305-284-2400.  

Upon arrival, please inform one of the ushers in black Frost attire to guide you to the first row of the hall.

Please bring your mobile device with the e-ticket(s) to the hall, or print out your e-ticket(s).  Our ushers will scan you in. If you forgot your ticket, please show your ID at the Box Office so they can print you a ticket.

Latecomers will be seated at the first break or applause in the performance through the top entrance of the hall. 

There is no official dress code at our performances concerts. Some people like to wear casual attire, while others prefer something more formal. We suggest bringing a sweater; it may get cold in our halls at times.

No food or drinks are allowed inside the hall.

Mobile phones are allowed inside; however, they must be on silent before the concert begins. Please be considerate of those around you: the bright screen lights may distract others around you. Please be sure to tag us @FrostSchoolUM if you plan to post pictures on social media. We may just re-share your post!

For non-high profile concerts and events, cameras are allowed in the hall as long as there is no flash photography. Video recording in our hall is not allowed unless previously cleared with the Events & Marketing department. We reserve the right to remove any patron who violates this rule.

A press badge will be given to all authorized press and photographers for high-profile events.

Frost School of Music is now a cashless venue. We only accept credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) online, in-person, and by phone. 

No personal checks accepted. 

All credit card transactions with Frost School of Music are processed through our third-party service provider, OvationTix (Tmania), which is located in New York. This is a legitimate charge.

Located inside the Shalala Student Center Complex (behind UM Gusman Concert Hall) are automatic teller machines (ATM). This will enable you to withdraw funds from your account 24 hours a day with your bankcardor credit card.

Your ticket price reflects less than half of the true cost of your seat. It is donations from music lovers like you that enable us to continue producing beautiful, world-class performances. 

To support student-musician enrichment through working with world-class guest artists, a gift is included in each ticket purchase.

Yes, Frost School of Music students will receive discounted or comp ticket information by email. All students, regardless of school, are offered a 20% ticket discount.

Yes, a student ticket price is available for most concerts.  Please present your school ID at the Box Office to claim your discounted ticket.

As long as the baby or toddler does not take up an additional seat in the hall, their admission is free. The baby or toddler will need to be on your lap at all times during the performance. Otherwise, a ticket must be purchased. 

Please step outside the hall if your baby becomes disruptive to the performance.

All sales are final. In case you cannot attend, you may either transfer or donate your tickets to someone else.
